Hostel du Nord is a family-owned, locally run hostel in downtown Duluth, Minnesota. We are a classic-style hostel offering clean and comfortable bunk-style accommodations in shared dormitories. We're centrally located, just steps from Canal Park, Lake Superior and some of the city's best coffee shops, restaurants and breweries and art galleries.

Our dorms feature twin and full-size bunk beds. Each bed comes with a privacy curtain, reading light, outlet and secure locker. Guests share thoughtfully maintained bathrooms (each a private lockable room with shower and toilet), a fully stocked communal kitchen, cozy lounge spaces and a sauna.

What makes a hostel different, though, isn't just the layout, it's the people. Staying here means shared coffee in the morning, swapping trail recommendations in the kitchen and conversations with travelers from all over the world. Hostels naturally create space for connection. Whether that's finding a hiking buddy, sharing stories after a long day outside or simply feeling part of something while you're far away from home.
