Is this place right for me?
A hostel is a shared lodging experience designed for travelers who value affordability, community and location. At Hostel du Nord guests stay in dorm-style rooms with individual bunks and access to a shared kitchen and common spaces.
Is the hostel quiet at night?
Yes. We observe quiet hours from 10:00pm until 7:00am in the dormitories. This helps ensure everyone can rest comfortably. Hostel du Nord is best suited for respectful travelers who value a calm, quiet environment. However, the lobby area and kitchen are separate from the dormitories and enjoy a later curfew.
Do you offer extended-stay discounts?
Yes, you can book stays with us up to two weeks at a time. We offer a 10% discount for any stays of 7-14 nights, available only when you book directly through our booking engine.
Do you have private rooms?
No, Hostel du Nord is a bunk-only hostel. We offer twin-sized and full-sized bunks in shared dormitories. Which means all guests will be staying in a large, shared room. However, each bunk does have its own privacy curtain, reading light, personal outlets and secure locker.
Do you have a kitchen or common spaces?
Yes, we have a fully equipped kitchen for guests to share. The kitchen features refrigerators, microwave, toaster oven, electric range and all cooking and dinning essentials. We also have several cozy common spaces for guests to relax, play games and commune together.
Are bathrooms shared?
Yes. We have 5 bathrooms shared amongst 2 floors. Each bathroom is lockable and has its own shower, toilet and sink.
Do you have parking?
There is no on-site parking. Public parking lots and street parking are available within a short walk of the hostel. The hostel is not responsible for parking tickets, towing, or vehicle damage.
Can I store my bike or recreational equipment?
Yes. We offer secure outdoor storage for bikes and recreational equipment in a lockable shed. Please note that the shed is keyed and accessed by staff only, so guests will need to coordinate with our team to store or retrieve items. Hostel du Nord in not responsible for loss or damage to personal equipment.
Is the hostel accessible for guests with mobility differences?
Hostel du Nord offers partial accessibility for guests with mobility differences. Two of our three floors have step-free access. The first floor can be accessed through a guest-only entrance that leads directly to the sleeping area. The second floor, lobby, is accessible in two ways: via a ramp at the rear entrance or through elevators within the connected skywalk system. Note: The skywalk is closed nights and weekends.
